Hello everyone!

I’m popping in really quickly to let you all know that I’ve put together a yoga challenge to help motivate anyone who’s trying to get into a daily practice. How can you get involved?

Best O’ The Bay Area

Okay… Now that you’re all signed up to do yoga with me for the next infinity days, let’s talk travel shiz. We’re on an Amtrak (the only way to travel) on our way to Bakersfield (a place to avoid entirely) to pick up the car and get her fixed. While I’m here soaking up the free internet, I figured I should share some of the best things we discovered in the San Francisco Bay Area as far as Food, Yoga, and Art are concerned.

Head to the Height, Avoid the Hype

Ahhh yes. Some revolutionary shit went town in this little area, and there’s still some beautiful street art spattered around. Check out some of the cool stuff that’s been left behind, but don’t spend all of your mulah here. It won’t go nearly as far as it does a few blocks over. The stores are filled with overpriced faux-spiritual garb, and there’s a soul sucking Ben & Jerry’s on the corner of Height and Ashbury.

Getting a beer at The Grateful Dead inspired Magnolia Gastropub & Brewery is around $7 a pint. Which isn’t awful for a brewery. Plus, they’ve got the sweetest coasters in the world. And if you ask nicely, they’ll probably give you the whole set.

Best Lil’ Badass Dive Bar in Town

But if you wander over a few blocks to 547 Height, you’ll find one of the chillest, highest quality dive bars I’ve ever been to. The Tornado has a ton of rare microbrews and limited edition schtuff on tap. The IPA we had at Magnolia for $7 was here for $4 at happy hour. Dogs roam about freely, and the owner/bartender chick talks mad hilarious shit about yuppies (if you’re not one).

Wander More Lust Less

San Francisco isn’t a bad town to be broke in. Wander around to check out some of the intricate and mind bending street art.

Head over to the gorgeous Yoga To The People studio and take a donation based class. Chill hard in Golden Gate Park. Eat for mega cheap (see below).

Ho Shit! The Berkeley Bowl

WW Pitas, Sesame Crunchies, Trail Mix, Bag of Bell Peppers/squash, Bag of Apples, Bag of Avos… All for 15 bucks… Booyah!

This place is pretty ridiculous when it comes to traveling vegan style. They’ve got hella produce, a huge bulk section, and pretty much anything you could possibly desire to put in your mouth. Head to the back of the building on the produce side to grab bags of “eat it today” goodies for $1.39 or less. ALL of this stuff cost just $14.27. We chilled on campus and in a sweet park and had a hobo picnic, complete with my Unfiltered Sake and the Farmer’s 40.

We kept spotting this new variety of Magnolia all over Berkeley. Isn’t she lovely?

Bay Burrito Champion

Head over to the legendary Taqueria Cancun on Mission for a cheap-as-fuuuuuh Vegan Burrito for just $5.50 (chips & salsa included).

Alrighty… Well the train ride is coming to a close and I’ll have to get on with doing all things Bakersfield. Let me know if you want to yoga down with me! And have fun exploring the Bay Area!

Thanks for stopping by!!

I can already hear my mother asking me what the hell “G’d UP” means after she reads this post. Well mom, the “G” in “G’d up” stands for Gangstered. And yes ma, that is some gangster ass ramen. Now I can see her shaking her head when she reads the word ass in that sentence And I can see her cringe at the word Ramen, which is basically healthy girl kryptonite.

Agreed. Ramen of the Top Ramen variety is prETTy gross. Even if you toss aside the packet of MSG magic, you’re still consuming a bunch of Gliadin from the wheat noodles. No, that’s not a spelling error. I’m not talking about gluten.

It’s the other “G” word. Gliadin is the protein that is produced by the high yield wheat strain developed and adopted by farmers in the 1960′s. It blocks your opiate receptors and behaves like heroin in your brain. Consuming lots of modern wheat makes you feel high, bloated, and icky after your gliadin fueled intoxication wears off… Or something like that.

But, theoretically, if you eat yourself some heirloom wheat, you could skip the Gliadin trip, pass go, and collect $200. Plus, this Heirloom Wheat Organic Ramen was tasty as all get out when I incorporated veggies from the new farm I’m living/working on in Kauai.

Yes! Our vacation turned staycation when we got the opportunity to do some winter farming on this beautiful island at one of the loveliest farms we’ve ever seen. But more on that later…

HIT THE JUMP for the recipe and some shots I took around the farm!

Now, I could have posted a recipe featuring some rare tropical shit… like these deliciously ridiculously amazingly killer Rambutan:

If Dr. Suess were a fruit inventor…

Organic Vegan Ramen with Cabbage & Kale

But I’m a considerate gangster, and I know that all you mainlanders are living in a world without rare tropical shit. So, I grabbed stuff you can get your hands on in February:

an onion,

some kale,

1/2 head of cabbage (which you should still be able to find at a winter market near you)

GET CREATIVE: You can use any veggie that you can find. Have fun! Experiment!

Then I:

sautéed the veggies in a spoonful of coconut oil

sprinkled the packet over the simmering veggies

boiled the noodles, until they were almost completely done

through the sautéed and seasoned veggies in the pot with the water and noodles

and BAM BAM BAM:

It’s a spectacular vegan ramen dish, perfect for bummy cloudy days around the farm. Which, by the way, grows lots of awesome stuff. Care to see some of said growing stuff?

Olana Farm in Kilauea

Don’t worry about me folks. The spider’s harmless, the avocados are delicious, and it’s just plain silly how great it is to be growing food in February. I only have to put in about 20 hours each week, leaving me plenty of time to make food porn, write blog posts, and play a few rounds of this crazy fun bingo at foxybingo.com.

When I’m not doing digital things, I have plenty of time to wander around this Jurassic Park island, hitchhike from town to town, meet fantastic people, sing along with super talented musicians, and stretch out my yogi bones.

Well folks, I have more tales to tell (like the one where we spent three weeks in the Kalalau Valley, or the one where we got this farm gig serendipitously, or the one about what beach bum living is like when it’s literal, etc…). But right now, the sun is shining and it’s time to wander out from under this awning and celebrate another blessed day in this unbelievable place.

I hope you’re all having a beautiful day, and I’d like to express my gratitude that you found this blog while you were cruising around the interwebs. If you want to keep in touch, “Like” wwffg on facebook, or add me to your RSS. I would love to hear from any and all of you, so please leave a comment or email me your thoughts at willworkforfoodgirl@gmail.com.

Food Things

Sooooooo… WWFFG is on the road again… and vegan again! Yes, it’s true. I learned a lot from the paleo diet, but the whole meat and dairy system (even the organic version of it) is f******************d (too many stars? I’m into pushing buttons today). This has a vegan blog for years, because that’s what I was eating mainly for health and budget reasons. Throw in some ethical and environmental reasons aaaaand I’m back to my ole vegan ways!

The Farmer and I came across a book called The World Peace Diet by Dr. Will Tuttle, which is hands down the most amazing and comprehensive book about our food system that I’ve ever read. We started reading it on the road right after we left the organic B&B in Colorado, and both felt compelled to follow a vegan diet about 30 pages in.

The farmer is definitely the manliest vegan I’ve ever seen and watching him grow in these new convictions probably the most beautiful gesture of compassion I’ve ever witnessed. We’ve found that it’s f***************ing hard to be vegans on the road, but we’re doing pretty darn good so far.

The farmer is also a chef, and he created the BEST new vegan camping recipe that we ended up calling Healthy Slop/Health Gruel/HoboVeganStew! It’s just some onions and garlic, some oil, a can of Amy’s Soup and about a half a cup of Quinoa. Feeds two hungry vegan travelers…

Ingredients:

2 Cloves Garlic

1 Small onion

2 tspn oil

1 Can Amy’s Vegan Soup

1/2 Cup Quinoa

1 Cup H20

Hemp Seeds/Chia Seeds (optional)

Method:

Sautee onions & garlic in sunflower oil

Add Quinoa and stir to coat and toast

Pour in a can of Amy’s Soup to deglaze (We’ve done the Vegetable and the Lentil Vegetble… Both f************ing delicious)

Add the cup of H20

If you’ve got hemp seeds or chia, add in two teaspoons of each for added nutrient density

Let simmer for 20 minutes or until quinoa is donezo.

Now, onto the gypsy part. We’ve had a heckofa journey so far.

The route?

Paonia, CO> Moab, UT> The Grand Canyon> Kingman, AZ> Las Vegas> The Mojave Desert (where the car broke down)> Towed to Bakersfield, CA (where we met an amazing bearded Colorado Enthusiast)> Took the Amtrak to San Luis Obispo, CA (to meet the farmers folks who are love-ly)> Rented a car to go see the elephant seals mating commune at Piedras Blancas> Took a bus to camp out at Morro Bay State Park…. And now, two weeks after leaving Paonia, we’re bumming around the central coast for a few days before we fly out of San Jose to Kauai!

Just writing that out made me exhausted, but it’s been a beautiful and serendipitous journey.

Yoga Things

Yoga in the desert is fun!

Over the holidays The Farmer has coined a new nickname for me*… Apparently, I am now THE COOKIE MONSTER.

For a brief moment in time (about two weeks), I ate every cookie I saw, talked about cookies non-stop, and awoke from nights of cookie heaven complaining about being in digestive system hell. Once, whilst he was sleeping, I stayed up watching South Park as I ate us out of cookie and home. And when he rolled over in the morning, I couldn’t help but blurt out my cookie devouring crime. So when I left the kitchen for two minutes today, this is what I returned to:

He’s creepily quick, but obviously not quick enough to finish carving “monster” before I got back. I was impressed, but it really just made me realize how much I wished I was making cookies instead of these super healthy, paleo, vegan, sweet tater chips on <del>Christmas</del>…<del> X-mas</del>… Holiday. I <del>probably</del> totally deserve my new nickname. I <del>definitely</del> <del>totally</del> absolutely dig the strikethrough button today.

So these are a great way to use up sweet taters that look like they’re going gnarly. I love sweet potatoes in every form (mashed, roasted, french fried, casseroled), but these are so f*cking lovely when you want something round and sweet like a cookie, but don’t have any cookie materials around. I have a problem.

*When I told the farmer about this blog post, he argued that I, in fact, gave myself the nickname. I didn’t. My blog post. I win.

Ingredients:

3-4 Sweet Taters

2-4 tspns oil (grapeseed and olive work swell)

Salt

Method:

Heat the oven to 300 degrees…

Slice the taters into chip-like thickness… then…

Toss In Oil

Make it Rain (salt)

Put in a bowl and turn them into food pornography… or just eat. whatevs.

I’m sure these can be spiced up, but I haven’t really tried any variations yet… Any suggestions on flavored sweet tater chips?

Welp, that’s all the food pornin’ and sentence manifacturing that I’ve got in me for today… Until next time!

Hey hey! Ho ho! What’s up wwffg readers?

I’m back from another random hiatus! This time, I’m armed with a new lens (booyah!) and some dried apples made with a little hippie ingenuity.

Today, I finished my first editing gig for a real. live. book. It was pretty exciting stuff, a book about shiesty scams for bartenders. I got to use phrases like “ball licker” and make sleazy sexual innuendo jokes about cocktail waitresses.

It was pretty much the best job I ever had… aside from that gig where I got to write articles about any internet video I could find. There was this one where five Japanese men go through an obstacle course after getting sprayed in the butthole with pepper spray, and then they have to drag their burning asses over a cement block covered in spicy mustard, and then they ride on bikes with the seats sticking straight up, and then, in the end, one sits on a b’day to hit the finish line button, and water squirts out, but he thinks it’s going to be something painful, so he jumps off, and then realizes that it’s water, and jumps back on it, and the judges come running out onto the track screaming, “Jalapeño!!! Jalapeño!!!” What? I’m contributing to society.

But now, that’s all over, and I’ve got a lot of time on my hands… and a lot of apples… and a lot of time… and a lot of hands… and apples.

What I don’t have are the necessary tools for apple chip making. So what do we do here at willworkforfoodgirl? We improvise.

Is it a pot lid?

Or an apple chip tray? You be the judge.

Don’t judge me.

This is easy peasy. It’s a perfect activity for the unemployed, or the underemployed. It’s even great for people with real, big kid jobs, with spare time on their hands. Oh, you responsible devil, you… You can make apple chips too. But you also have to go to your shitty job, so nah nah nah nah nah.

Not I. I’m studying the art of heading down conspiracy theory rabbit holes on the internet, doing free yoga videos on the internet, and writing this on the internet. I’m too busy interacting with the webface intersystem online to have a real job. Plus, I’m too smart to Dolly Parton my way through this life. Nine to five can suck it! But I’ll have plenty of time to watch that movie later today.

Ingredients:

Hella apples of any kind (In this case Hella=4 apples)

Method:

So, heat up the oven to 225 degrees and slice up some apples.

Place those apples on a surface that can go in the oven.

Turn them over after an hour or so.

Leave them in there for another hour or so.

When they’re chippy enough to call them chips, take them out and store in a airtight container (not plastic if you can help your bad self).

SLICE.

BAKE/DRY..

TRY TO STOP THE FARMER FROM EATING ALL OF THE PRETTY ONES. DAMNIT…

That heart shaped one didn’t stand a chance. He argued that it was edible organic material, and that it was at the top of the bowl. I think he’s possessed by the devil or something. If you’re looking for a time consuming, and easy way to preserve your mealy apples, do it!

Welp, better get back to learning all that I can about the Annunaki before they get here… What? You’ve never heard of the Sumarian Texts? WTF are you doing with your 2012? If I don’t see you guys ever again due to a pole shift, alien arrival, or global enlightenment delivering us to the fifth dimension (which would probably shut down the food porn industry), farewell and thank you for wasting some of your last minutes on this earth reading my thoughts about nonsense. Otherwise, I’ll see you guys when I feel the compulsion to blog about food-related activities and can’t meditate it out of my system.

Thanks for stopping by!

Yesterday, I posted about getting all paleo with my bad self.

Later, I realized that that’s a pretty huge departure for a long time vegetarian and vegan recipe blog.

Today, I got to thinking about the people who are referred to my blog in search of “vegan polenta.” Would they get a little perturbed to find a chicken liver recipe right next to the vegan date balls? Would they harangue me for joining the dark side? Would there be public outcry?

Probably not. But, it gave me pause nonetheless (I’m a fancy writer).

As much as I love that google knows WWFFG as a gluten free, vegan recipe blog, I really like to think of it as an alternative travel, lifestyle, humor and food blog.

In order to keep up with that vibe, I’ve made a few decisions. I’ll keep the vegan and veggie recipes coming, but there won’t be anymore photos of dry polenta spilling onto some raw wood in the dazzling sunrise (my god I love food porn). They’ll be paleo modified, without dairy, grains, or legumes. And I’m not sure how many of them I can really crank out. But I promise you, dear readers, that I won’t bombard WWFFG with racks of baby lambs, and in turn, you can’t complain about my grok jokes. Deal? Deal!

So last night, my farmer came into the yurt with a late night paleo snack for me. He shoved it into my hands and said, “Paleo popcorn. Trademarked. Copyrighted.” It was a bowl of toasted almonds on top of chopped chard. The voice in my head that heard popcorn went, “boo. hiss.” But the voice in my head that was committed to skipping the grains was like, “Boo.Yah!”

My rugged and manly farmer does more than farm, he chefs down like a madman, so I never hesitate to shove anything in my mouth that he brings me. You all know I’m pretty enthusiastic, but it was ep.ic. Ever since I moved over to the White Buffalo, I’ve become a salt fanatic. So watching my salt intake was getting weary. But the chard gave substantial saltiness to the crunchy, warm and fulfilling snackeroo.

When I excitedly told my boss here at the organic B&B, who is also on a prehistoric diet, that we’d found a solution for the movie time snack, she said, “We’re really grasping at straws here, huh?”

But I couldn’t disagree less (It’s double negative day!). I found it much more satisfying than a buttery bowl of salty popcorn. It’s just as simple to make too!

Paleo Popcorn

1 cup almonds

1/2 cup swiss chard

Method

Toast almonds until aromatic.

Chop up chard into bite sized pieces (not tiny or they’ll wilt into nothingness)

Place the chard in the bowl. Top with almonds and let sit for a minute or two. The heat will soften the chard, making it less chewy.

Toss them together and dig in!

I’m feeling much better on… is it day four or five now? Oh hell, I’m not sure. All I know is that I don’t have a six pack yet. Come on killer abs… I’m waiting for yoooou….

I don’t have many cravings, and I had much more energy today (woot woot! I finally cleaned the yurt!), but I’m not feeling my hottest quite yet. I’m not saying it’s easy to stay on the meat, fruit and veggie wagon without a hint of anything else. I live at a decadent organic restaurant for crying out loud. Do you know the kind of muffins I have to pass on every morning? They’re ridiculously glorious.

But if I can do it, and quit smoking, and write about it for you to read. Well, by god, you can do it too!

So what’s your favorite paleo snack food?

Love,

wwffg

p.s. You may be wondering why this is a photoless post… Well, I got a killer new lens for my camera and can’t wait to take some bangin’ food porn (triple entendre?) for you. Unfortunately, the battery charger is lagging behind and the camera itself is dead. I should have the shots up in a couple of days.

Woah! And I’m back to haphazardly document my journey in food, travel, farming, and lickity-ickity-ife! That was supposed to be a hip way to say the word life. It was mainly just evidence that I am most definitely not hip.

But what am I then? I’m definitely a girl who’s into blogging right now. I’ve been super inspired to write these past couple of days. Today, I wrote my first draft of a pilot for a shitcom about the crazy farm that I used to live on called The White Buffalo. Yeah. Remember that place? It was only one post ago in WWFFG time, but months have passed in the real world, and it ended up being a ridiculous and hilarious little experience that I’d like to capture and put in article, book, and television form. It’s a fun project, but I needed something a little more… foodie… to work on.

Wouldn’t you know it? I’m experimenting in a new diet direction. Over the years, I’ve toyed with vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, low cal, dairy free, locavore… Heck, if there’s a label for it, I’ve tried it. But recently I stumbled upon one that feels like it’s changing my life and my relationship with food. It’s the Paleo Diet!

There’s a lot of great scientific information about it… here… here… and some nom nom recipes here… I’m certainly no expert. What I do know is that I feel like absolute hell right now. I feel like a monster with dull teeth is chewing at my brain. I feel like I’m watching life go by at regular speed and I can only respond in slow motion.

Wait. What?

That’s right. I feel like crud, and that’s why I’m falling in love this particular eating lifestyle (I’m not a huge fan of the “D” word).

Allow me to explain. I went semi-paleo a couple of weeks ago, and fell off of the wagon hard last Sunday. And going from pretty-paleo to pastry-fest was a huge decent. It hit me like a ton of sweet and fluffy sugar bricks. I was bloated, tired and nauseous. I felt awful all through the night and vowed that I would re-up on my paleo pledge and do it for realzies this time.

So that’s what I’m doing. 5 days ago, I said adieu to alcohol and cigs. 3 days ago, I said farewell to the grains, dairy, coffee, sugar, honey and starchy veggies. Adios taters! Hasta luego microbrews!

Now, I eat like a caveman (I’m aware that’s sexist. I’m detoxing and don’t have the energy to be PC… Fine. Cavewoman. You happy?). I fill my plate with meat, veggies, & fruits. I tell you what? Even though I’m purging these toxins right now, I’m getting crazy boosts of energy and creativity when I’m not feeling like a slug. Sure, I’ve got some brain fog, flu-like symptoms, crazy dreams and joint ache. I’ve had some weird spasms in muscles I didn’t know that I have, and I’m thirstier than that dude in 127 hours.

But I can see right through the clouds, and my paleo future looks bright, baby! I realize that these can’t be the effects of merely switching to a simple diet, but from my body getting rid of stuff it’s been storing for a looong time. It takes me forever to get hungry after I eat, causing me to examine my relationship with food and why I’m eating in the first place. Huzzah! I’m learning all of these lessons and it’s still in the first week!

What will happen next week? Will she regain her strength and use it to crawl to the dougnut shop? Will she start her new winter hobby; whittling comically oversized clubs? Stay tuned to find out what happens when wwffg goes paleo!

Well, well, well. It has certainly been awhile. I knew that you all were wondering where I’d ran off to these days, and I really can’t wait to tell you all about it.

Every time I wandered onto this blog and caught that mopey valentines day post, I would cringe and promise myself that I would come back the next day and write a new post. That song and dance has been going on for several months now, and I finally decided that today would be the day that I would eradicate the mope post from the top of this blog and replace it with something a little more… shall I say… rad.

That’s pretty much how life has been going since I last updated this little blog. In February, I went to comedy school in Chicago. In March, I went to yoga school in Denver. In May, I moved to Colorado’s oldest organic farm, The White Buffalo in Paonia. And here I still sit, overlooking the orchards that are decades older than I am, with Tia curled up asleep next to me, defending us both from a tiny menacing spider, while dreaming up the yoga class that I’m going to teach in an hour. I managed the kitchen here for awhile and cooking for hella hippies 6 days a week was lovely, but not really my bag. Now, I’m running our new processing kitchen. I spent the day covering our organic cherries with organic chocolate all day so they’ll be ready to debut at market tomorrow. I can honestly say that life has never been sweeter or more bad ass.

So I’ve finally decided to put my life where my mouth is. Talking and writing about organic, local and sustainable foods is something I’ve been doing for a long time. But really being here has shown me the day to day struggles that organic farmers face. It’s allowed me to see how precious and valuable our food is, how much work goes into growing and harvesting a bag of kale, and how I was really always destined to be an organic farmer trophy wife. Ahhhhh, life lessons.

I won’t dare lie to you and say that everything has been smooth sailing over the past few months. The truth of the matter is that in thinking I was lost, I found a place to call home. Even though it’s home, it’s been an interesting transition from Babylon to farm life. It’s been challenging at times, but mostly, it’s been absolutely hilarious and beautiful. I’ve never laughed so much in my life, and now that things are beginning to balance out, I know that I can begin to change lives on this farm teaching people yoga and making sure that we have food to eat this winter. I hope to share more of this with you in the coming months, but we don’t make any promises about posting here at WWFFG.

I’m still writing professionally, and that puts some resistance up for personal blogging, but who knows… this might be another one of those blogging explosions that I do every now and again and you’ll get several in a row. Well, I have to spend the next 30 minutes painting on my yoga pants. I hope that you all are doing amazing things in your corner of the world.

Love,

Well, hey there lovers!

I’m going to pretend you’re all my lovers, whether you’re willing or not, since I’m by my lonesome this Valentines day. This is the first V Day that I’ve been single since the inception of this blog. In that time I flew through two relationships… and boy are my arms tired. Buh dum chh!

If you’re wondering why I’m up in the middle of the night posting about Valentines day stuff instead of having dreams about Channing Tatum like every sane single gal, there’s a good reason. I’m sleepless in central Illinois because one of my amazing ex’s is either extremely short sighted, or super masochistic, and decided to send me an email the day before Valentine’s day.

In my last email, I told him not to respond, to forget I existed and to leave me alone. In a bold, kind and genius move he decided to toss that request out of the window, the day before the most romantic holiday on this here planet. What people won’t do for the last word…

While I may sound a bit bitter (I am), I’ve chilled out a bit and am ready to take on this holiday in single lady fashion. What does that mean for me? A day of blogging, doing yoga, reading, watching a movie with Jason Segal in it, and eating a quick fatty vegan desert while trolling the Craigslist personal ads in a half joking, half curious manner.

This is my valentine's day date. Sexy, huh?

These take literally 3 minutes to make. So if you get hungry in between your crying jags/sex marathons you can whip up a quick batch and chow down before heading back to your lamenting/nude romantic activities.

Unfortunately, even though I’m such an amazing cook and food blogger, I forgot to measure all of this out so be warned, these are precise guesstimations.

Ingredients

1/3 cup of uncooked oats

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/4 cup dates

Small handful of vegan chocolate chips or cacao nibs

3 T raw coconut flakes (optional)

1/2 t agave (optional)

Method

mix ingredients together until the mixture isn’t dry or sticky. Add more peanut butter if it’s dry. Add more oats if it’s sticky.

Roll into 1 inch balls

Pop them in the fridge for 30 minutes, or skip the fridge and pop them in your mouth.

Alright, it’s time to shake it all off and catch some shuteye. What (aside from babies) are you making this VDay?

This post is dedicated to Justin, who is a biotch every time I get into a grain staple. He requested that I never talk about polenta again. I can’t really promise you that I won’t make more polenta stuff in the future, but I figured I’d share something sans polenta that you can make for breakfast. It’s almost identical to the hearty version of polenta I posted a few weeks ago. I’m going to say polenta one more time… polenta.

Okay, now that it’s out of my system, here’s a tasty breakfast brain child from me to you.

Get some rainbow chard. Sautee it in some olive oil until it’s all wilted. Plate it.

Fry an egg. Plate it on top of the rainbow chard.

Cut some cherry tomatoes in half. Fry those too. Guess what you can do with those? You got it.

There you go! There’s proof that I could make something that isn’t polenta.

This makes a great, healthy, cheap 5-10 minute breakfast. I really could have branded this as a brunch dish, but <del>I didn’t think of it until right now </del>I’m not into bourgeois branding techniques.

What do you eat when you’re not eating polenta?
